Belize’s high seas fisheries is legislated under the High Seas Fisheries Act, 2013 which came into force on 8th November 2013 effectively repealing and replacing the High Seas Fisheries Act of 2003. This holistic and robust Act enables the adoption of several supporting regulations in 2014.
